At LUYCSD, we follow strict internal control standards to protect resources and ensure transparent management of all activities. No single staff member is ever responsible for planning, approving, implementing, and reporting on the same task. Responsibilities are clearly separated:
Program Officers manage field activities and community engagement.
Administrative Staff handle record-keeping, documentation, and logistics.
Finance Personnel process payments, maintain accounts, and verify expenditures.
Supervisors & Internal Reviewers check, approve, and validate all actions.
This layered structure ensures that every step—from budgeting to implementation is reviewed by multiple people. It reduces risk, prevents misuse of funds, strengthens accountability, and guarantees that donor contributions are handled with full transparency and compliance with NGO best-practice standards.
We also maintain written policies, approvals require two-signatory verification, and periodic internal reviews ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity across all operations. Donors can trust that every resource is managed responsibly and monitored through a strong system of checks and balances.
